Over the past few weeks I have been wearing the BodyFit Media armband. Sometimes I wonder how many calories I actually burn with a training session or an hour or cardio .. and this helps me track all the calories burned within the day. There is an option to track calories consumed as well .. but I don't usually use that option because I find it cumbersome to log everything that I eat.
When I connect my armband to the computer to upload all my data it seperates it to:
Calories Burned -- this tracks all the calories I burned for the day
Calories Consumed -- the food log that I'm suppose to log in through the computer or iPhone
Calorie Balance -- works concurrently with the food log for calorie deficit
Physical Activity -- separates into moderate and vigorous exercise
Steps Taken -- pedometer function like
Sleep Duration -- how much sleep I usually get
Weight -- daily weight log
Overall I am happy with this armband because it tells me if I need to take more steps or work on more physical activity. There is a target option which basically means my goals for the day. I can make the goals more extreme but figured this target would be good for now.
The option I really like is the sleep duration option .. the armband is to be put on your non dominate arm for about 23 hours of the day .. the other hour is to be uploading data and charging the battery while you shower.
The dark gray areas mean when I am usually in a deep sleep and the light gray bars mean when I am laying down and probably awake and moving. I always have trouble with sleeping so this helps me gauge when I usually fall asleep and wake up ..
I've had people asked me what I thought of the armband so far .. and hopefully this will help answer questions. If it doesn't .. shoot me an email or leave a comment.
